This book showed life through a girls eyes, one who's dealing with denial and depression, assault, and misunderstanding parents. It was an outstanding book. Melinda, the main character, is outcast. No one talks to her; her friends from Junior High hate her for calling the cops at the end of the summer party, although her reason was beyond a good enough reason to call. Her life has turned upside down, and she barley knows how to speak up to let others know that. This story speaks for itself, and shows Melinda's adventure through her freshman year.
