  2. Melinda is a very depressed girl, her depression is from being heavily outcasted by the other students "The kids behind me laugh so loud I know they're laughing about me" (pg.4). Not only that but her friends have completely ditched her and despise her, for example when Melinda comes face to face with ex best friend Rachel "Her eyes meet mine for a second I hate you she mouths silently" (pg.5) see what I mean? Melinda also has no real care for her teachers tuning them out and giving names to some of them like the for her english teacher "I call her Hairwoman" (pg.6). From being outcasted so badly Melinda also takes and enjoyes refuge in an old abandoned janitors closet "This closet is abandoned-it has no purpose, no name. It is the perfect place for me." (pg.26). With all of this in mind one like a teacher or the principal should take something like Melinda's story into thought when confronting with a student with similar situation.

The careter is MR.Freeman I think he is a good teacher. He is the art teacher he writes on the bord the word soul. The teacher telles the kids to draw something on what they like. He tells Melinda to do a tree.

Melinda starts to the tree and Mr.Freeman told her to do better. She thought that he wanted the trong and lease. So that is what she did and he said no. So she had to start over. That is want I think of Mr.Freeman and I like Mr.Freeman better then the Principal.
